Hello! My name is Julie (she/her) and I am an end-of-life doula, ritual specialist, and home funeral guide. I have lived in Alaska for over 25 years. I am a credentialed Funeral Celebrant, Death Midwife, End-of-Life Doula, and is NEDA proficient. I have studied with Sacred Crossings, Final Passages, and the University of Vermont End-of-Life Doula program. I am an ordained Reverend (non-denominational) and have graduate degrees in anthropology (MA, PhD) and northern studies (MA). I honor all relationships and identities and want everyone I work with and who is in my care to feel seen and affirmed for who they are.

The Ritual Bough is based out of Girdwood, AK and is located within the traditional and contemporary lands of the upper inlet Dena’ina people, on the shores of tutl’uh (Turnagain Arm) and tikahtnu (Cook Inlet). We gratefully acknowledge the generations of care and stewardship that Dena’ina people have given to these lands and waters and, as a guest on these lands, The Ritual Bough is committed to contributing to that care-taking. We acknowledge that these lands, and the lands of other Indigenous peoples where we work, are the locus of millenia of ritual and ceremony, are the resting place of ancestors, and are a source of well-being for Alaska's first peoples. The Ritual Bough is committed to providing accessible services in a respectful and inclusive environment.
Your support allows us to provide end-of-life and ritual support on a sliding scale for those with limited income!
